I am a tutor who specializes in French. I originally came to the United States from West Africa. I lived in Togo, which is a primarily French-speaking area. There, I attended Lome University. My major was foreign languages, although not French. I actually studied both German and English. Now, I reside in Arizona, and I tutor students who hope to learn additional languages and grow their understanding of the world. I also assist with Business, as I attended Grand Canyon University, studying Economics and Finance. My tutoring job started in high school when I volunteered to help refugees. I have since gone on to tutor peers in the various schools I went to. I even volunteer to help local students who are immigrants. With a language barrier standing between us, I understand the importance of patience and taking time to teach at a pace that others will appreciate. Fun cues are used to help students remember rules of grammar. While language is my first love, I also tutor students in Economics, both Micro and Macro. I enjoy the challenge. To unwind after a trying day, I head to the beach to swim. It is a great way to relax and find a way to calm both my mind and body.
